HarmonyHacker allows you to bypass Globes traffic shaping - meaning you
can download or stream as fast as your modem can handle. Some people use
HarmonyHacker as a safe alternative to VPN, Magic IPs and other FBT
methods. We ask that you please don't steal internet from Globe. I use
these hacks to make up for all their downtime during my supersurf
subscriptions. If I'm paying for 5 days access and it's down for hours
each day, I have to get those hours back somehow.

How does it work?

HarmonyHacker runs as a local web proxy. You tell your browser to proxy
requests through HarmonyHacker and it does some magic in the background
to ensure your requests pass through Globe without being blocked.



Is it safe?

Yes. All requests go directly to Globe. No external proxies, vpn, magic IPs etc.



What does and doesn't work?

Most websites work correctly. HTTPS is not supported.

Compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and all web browsers (Firefox, Chrome, IE etc)



HarmonyHacker was written in Python and compiled in version 2.5.4 on Windows XP.

To launch:

Double click on HarmonyHacker_WINDOWS.pyc



Set your web browser to use HTTP proxy server on IP 127.0.0.1 port 8000



If you get a question asking to block or unblock HarmonyHacker, you must
choose unblock. This application acts as a middleman to pass your
requests through to Globe.

What networks does HarmonyHacker work on?

HarmonyHacker is primarily compatible with Globe. Some users have had success with SmartBuddy.

SmartBro and Sun are not compatible.



Can I download using HarmonyHacker?

Yes, if it's over HTTP. You can't use HarmonyHacker for torrents or ftp



Can I stream videos with HarmonyHacker?

Yes.



Can I use HarmonyHacker for online gaming?

Yes, If the game uses HTTP (most flash games). No if it uses any other protocol (most desktop exe games)



HarmonyHacker isn't working for me

Try these things:

Ensure you're using Globe default DNS. You cannot use any DNS hacks with HarmonyHacker

Ensure you have strong signal with Globe

Disable all Firefox/Chrome add-ons and see if things improve.

Ensure you don't have a firewall that's blocking HarmonyHacker



Unsupported method ('CONNECT')

This error is created when your browser is trying to connect to a HTTPS
website through HarmonyHacker. HarmonyHacker does not support HTTPS.
Facebook users should ensure they use [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (no https) and check their account settings to make sure they haven't enabled 'require secure login'.



Slow browsing (But fast downloads) - To ensure compatibility for
those with weak signal, we had to set the Idle limit quite high. This
means a single slow component can cause lag across the browser. You can
adjust the Idle limit by following the instructions at the end of this
post.





Reported bugs:

On some systems, POST doesn't work

POST is primarily used for forms, e.g Facebook login, Forum login etc.
On a small number of users, this function doesn't work on their version
of Windows. We're still trying to work out why.



Advanced user configuration (To improve speed)

You can temporarily change the idle limit by visiting [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Replace 5 with whatever you want to set the idle limit to. This will be reset when you close HarmonyHacker

Default Idle limit is 20. Increase Idle limit if you have poor signal. Decrease idle limit if you have good signal.

Setting your idle limit too low may result in an unstable browsing experience and problems streaming.
